Whitechapel C of E Primary School was established as a new school in September 2011 through the technical closure and amalgamation of the communities of Moorend C E First School and St Luke’s C E First School.

Initially the school operated across the existing split sites of the two schools. In September 2012 the newly refurbished school building was completed and the school has now relocated to the purpose built accommodation on the Whitechapel Road site.

Our new school site was officially opened by the Rt. Reverend Stephen Platten, Bishop of Wakefield on Friday 21st September 2012.
