Message from the Headteacher

I feel very privileged to be the Headteacher of Whitechapel Church of England Primary School.

Whitechapel C of E Primary is a good school, which is welcoming and caring, with amazing children, dedicated staff and supportive parents and governors. I am proud to lead such a wonderful team of staff and we work together - as a team - to provide the best educational opportunities for all our children. Many visitors to school comment on the strength of our “staff team” and their shared commitment to help every child in the school achieve their best.

Pupils describe this school as being like one big family. They enjoy being part of the friendly, purposeful community. Relationships between staff and pupils are kind and respectful. Pupils know that an adult or a friend will help them if they have any worries. Pupils are well cared for. They feel happy and safe at school.” OFSTED 2023

I am passionate about teaching and I have high expectations of all the children within our school. I believe that all children at our school deserve the best and our aim is to help them succeed in every area of school life – academic, social, personal, physical and spiritual. Our school’s Christian Values of Courage, Compassion and Respect are lived out through all we do in school. Our children are polite, happy and show compassion towards each other and they are equally proud of their school.

Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum. In every subject, learning is broken down into small, carefully sequenced steps. This helps pupils to gradually and securely build their knowledge and skills over time. They are well prepared for the next stage of their education.” OFSTED 2023

At Whitechapel Church of England Primary School, we have a strong sense of community. You will find me committed to working alongside children, staff, parents, Church and Governing Body to lead our school to achieve the best outcomes for all and promoting links with the local community.

We are constantly looking at ways to improve and I would be pleased to hear your comments, questions and suggestions so that we can continue to work together to achieve the best outcomes for all children in our school.
