Whitechapel Church of England Primary

The Governing Body of Whitechapel C of E Primary School came into being on the 18th October 2011. 

The school is very fortunate to have a hard working and supportive Governing Body which meets regularly to discuss all areas of school activity in order to ensure that the school is fulfilling its duties and to forward new developments and other improvements. Whilst the members of the Governing Body meet together as a whole each term, they also service two smaller committees. These groups meet more regularly to deal with different aspects of School Management - Resource Committee and Standards & Effectiveness Committee. All Governors are voluntary members of the community who attend meetings in their own time. We are fortunate to have members who care about the school and who, as a team, make extra time from their busy schedules to make visits to school. In this way they get to know the staff, children and parents and are, therefore, better informed about the school they are responsible for overseeing.
